Vice President and Co-founder of the Circle of Law & Liberty; Attorney at Law

To prevent the abuse of power, nothing will equal a strong civil society. But we need technical skills to establish it for the long term: nothing can be done without professionalism. Thanks to the Tocqueville Fellowship, I was able to develop both my critical thinking and the essential practical skills I lacked to act effectively.

      Director of IFRAP Foundation

The Tocqueville Fellowship effectively explains how think tanks operate in the United States and how there is a very strong link between politics and these reservoirs of ideas.

I have very fond memories of this American trip. I was able to delve into the corridors of power, meet fascinating personalities, and develop a network that still benefits me several years later.

              Jean-Baptiste Nouailhac, Class of 2015

              Co-founder and director Excellence Ruralités

Passionate about education, I am involved in a foundation that works for free education. I really wanted to go to the United States to learn more about the mechanisms of school freedom. Once there, I was able to meet with many experts, whether economists or leaders of pressure groups, and write my report on this subject. I have made considerable progress in my reflection on the practical objectives that we must achieve in France.
